Accessibility Statement

Wayfield, Inc. is committed to making Wayfield accessible to everyone. This statement sets out our approach, current status, and how to reach us with accessibility concerns.

Effective: April 19, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Wayfield, Inc. ("Wayfield", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to making the Wayfield platform — including our website, web application, and mobile application — accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone should be able to discover, book, and participate in creative education workshops, regardless of their abilities or the assistive technologies they use.

We are actively working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across our web and mobile products. We recognise that accessibility is an ongoing journey rather than a destination, and we are committed to making continuous improvements.

This statement applies to the Wayfield web platform at wayfield.com and the Wayfield iOS and Android mobile applications.

2. Standards

Wayfield aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard referenced by UK accessibility regulations under the Equality Act 2010 and is widely recognised as the international benchmark for accessible digital services.

WCAG 2.1 AA criteria are organized around four principles — that content must be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR). Our development and design processes incorporate these principles.

We carry out accessibility reviews using a combination of automated testing tools and manual testing with assistive technologies. Reviews are conducted during development and following significant platform updates.

3. Accessibility Features

The following accessibility features are implemented or targeted across the Wayfield platform:

  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — including navigation, buttons, forms, and modal dialogs — are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse or touch input.
  • Screen reader compatible markup: We use semantic HTML elements and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes to ensure that screen readers can accurately interpret and convey page content and interactive states.
  • Sufficient colour contrast: Text and interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and graphical elements.
  • Alternative text for images: Meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images that convey no information are marked appropriately so that screen readers can ignore them.
  • Form labels and error messages: All form fields have visible labels and are programmatically associated with their labels. Error messages are descriptive, identifying both the field in error and what correction is required.
  • No harmful flashing content: No content on Wayfield flashes more than three times per second, in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guideline 2.3 (Seizures and Physical Reactions).
  • Responsive design: The platform is fully responsive and adapts to different screen sizes, orientations, and zoom levels without loss of content or functionality.
  • Clear focus indicators: Visible focus rings are displayed on all interactive elements when they receive keyboard focus.

4. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas of the Wayfield platform are not yet fully accessible. We are actively working to address these limitations. Known issues include:

  • Certain complex interactive components (such as multi-step booking flows and date-range pickers) may not be fully optimised for all screen reader software. We are reviewing and improving these components iteratively.
  • Some older content pages may not fully conform to our current heading structure standards. These are being updated as part of our ongoing content review.
  • Third-party embedded content (such as maps and payment widgets) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, as these are provided by external services outside our direct control. We work with providers who prioritise accessibility wherever possible.

If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please let us know so we can investigate and address it.

5. Assistive Technologies Tested

We test the Wayfield web platform and mobile app against the following assistive technology combinations:

  • NVDA + Google Chrome (Windows) — the most widely used screen reader and browser combination among desktop screen reader users.
  • VoiceOver + Safari (macOS and iOS) — for Apple desktop and mobile users, including iPhone and iPad.
  • TalkBack + Google Chrome (Android) — for Android mobile users.

We also test with browser-level zoom set to 200% to ensure content remains usable at larger text sizes, and we use automated tools including axe DevTools and Lighthouse for continuous monitoring.

6. Feedback and Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Wayfield. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, experience difficulty using any part of the platform, or have a suggestion for improvement, please contact us:

Email: accessibility@wayfieldapp.com

Please describe the barrier you encountered, the page or feature affected, and the assistive technology or browser you were using when the issue occurred. This helps us reproduce and address the issue as quickly as possible.

We aim to acknowledge all accessibility feedback within 2 business days and to provide a substantive response — including a proposed resolution or timeline for fixing the issue — within 5 business days.

7. Enforcement

If you have contacted us about an accessibility issue and you are not satisfied with our response, you may seek further assistance from:

  • Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) — for discrimination or equality concerns under the Equality Act 2010. Visit equalityadvisoryservice.com or call 0808 800 0082.
  • Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — for concerns about cookies, privacy, or personal data in connection with our accessibility features. Visit ico.org.uk.

We are committed to resolving accessibility issues before escalation is necessary and will always work in good faith to find a solution.

8. Review Schedule

This Accessibility Statement is reviewed at least annually and following any major platform update or significant change to our product. The current version was last reviewed in April 2026.

Our accessibility roadmap is prioritised based on user feedback, automated audit findings, and the impact of each issue on users' ability to complete key tasks (booking workshops, checking in, making payments). We publish updates to this statement whenever our accessibility status changes materially.
