Copyright & DMCA Policy
Wayfield, Inc. respects intellectual property rights. This policy explains how to report copyright infringement and how we respond to such notices.
1. Respect for Intellectual Property
Wayfield, Inc. ("Wayfield", "we", "us", or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Wayfield platform to do the same. We are committed to responding promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law.
Wayfield is incorporated in Minnesota, United States and primarily operates under UK law. However, we also recognise and respond to notices made under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) where applicable, given that users and content may originate from multiple jurisdictions.
Content posted on the Wayfield platform — including workshop descriptions, images, videos, documents, and other media — must not infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party. If you believe that content on Wayfield infringes your copyright, please follow the process set out in this policy.
2. Reporting Copyright Infringement
To file a copyright infringement notice, you must provide a written communication that includes all of the following elements. Incomplete notices may not be actioned.
Required elements of a valid takedown notice:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — a description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, including sufficient detail for us to identify it (e.g. title, URL of the original, or a description of the work).
- Location of the infringing material — the specific URL or precise location on the Wayfield platform where the allegedly infringing material can be found. General descriptions are insufficient; please provide direct URLs wherever possible.
- Your contact information — your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good-faith statement — a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement — a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Signature — a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
Please send your completed notice to dmca@wayfieldapp.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice". See Section 6 for our full contact details.
Upon receiving a complete and valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the user who posted it.
3. Counter-Notification Process
If you are a user whose content has been removed following a copyright notice and you believe the removal was in error — for example, because you have the right to use the material or the notice was based on a mistaken identification — you may submit a counter-notification.
A valid counter-notification must include:
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal (the URL).
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in Minnesota, United States and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send your counter-notification to dmca@wayfieldapp.com with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notification". If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the removed material after 10 business days unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
Wayfield has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. If a user's account is the subject of multiple valid copyright infringement notices, we may suspend or permanently terminate that account without prior notice, at our sole discretion.
We also reserve the right to take action against users who file abusive or fraudulent takedown notices. The submission of a false or materially misleading takedown notice may expose the submitter to liability, including for damages, costs, and legal fees incurred by affected users.
5. No Legal Advice
This policy is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Copyright law is complex and the consequences of filing an inaccurate or bad-faith claim can be serious — including personal liability for damages and legal costs. If you are uncertain whether material infringes your copyright, we strongly recommend seeking independent legal advice before submitting a notice.
Filing a false copyright infringement notice is a serious matter. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
6. Where to Send Notices
All copyright notices and counter-notifications should be sent by email to:

You may also send written notices by post to:
