Join with a code or QR

Sometimes you decide to join a workshop right there in the room. Wayfield’s join code is built for exactly that — getting you on the roster in about a minute, on the spot.

Enter a code on the web or the app; scan a QR in the app. Typing a join code works in any browser — scanning the QR uses your phone camera, so that part needs the Wayfield app.

When you’d use this

An organizer or leader can share a join code — often as a QR code on a sign, a card, or a screen in the room. It’s the fast path for people who are already there and want in, instead of searching for the workshop online.

Joining with a code or QR

In the Wayfield app:

  1. Open the join screen and either scan the QR code or type the join code.
  2. Confirm the workshop that comes up is the right one.
  3. You’re added to the roster — usually in under a minute.
The camera is only used here, for scanning a join code. Scanning gets you onto a workshop’s roster — it isn’t a door check-in.

If the workshop has a price, joining with a code still takes you through checkout — the code gets you to the right workshop quickly, but paid is still paid. See Enroll & pay for how checkout works.

Join vs. enroll online

They land in the same place — you on the roster. Enrolling online is how you plan ahead from Explore or a shared link; a join code is the in-the-moment shortcut when you’re standing in the room. Use whichever fits the moment.
