What the widget shows
The Wayfield home-screen widget shows, at a glance:
- The workshop name and your next session title.
- The start time and a countdown (“45m”, “1h 20m”).
- A status pill — “✓ Checked in” when you're in, or the countdown until then.
- The venue location.
Tap the card to jump straight to check-in. When nothing's scheduled it reads “No sessions today” and taps through to explore workshops.
Add it to your home screen
- Touch and hold an empty spot on your home screen, then tap Widgets.
- Scroll to Wayfield and touch and hold its widget.
- Drag it onto your home screen and let go. It drops in at 2×2 by default — drag the handles to resize it; the layout adapts from compact to full.
Quick Settings tile
Add a one-tap check-in to the shade you already pull down a hundred times a day:
- Swipe down twice to open Quick Settings, then tap the edit (pencil) button.
- Find the “Check In to Wayfield” tile and drag it up into your active tiles.
- The tile shows your current session as its subtitle; tap it to check in. When there's nothing on, it reads “No session.”
Long-press shortcuts
Touch and hold the Wayfield app icon for quick jumps without opening the app first: Check In and Schedule for everyone, plus Roster for leaders and Dashboard for organizers.
For leaders
Leading a session? The widget shows “[Workshop] · Leading” and your roster progress — “X/Y checked in”, color-coded as it fills — and taps through to your schedule.
Good to know
- The widget fills in when you open the app's Home tab, then refreshes in the background — so open Wayfield once after adding it.
- Voice actions are iPhone-only; on Android the widget, Quick Settings tile, and long-press shortcuts are your fast paths. (iPhone users: see Siri & Shortcuts.)
