What the widget shows
The Next Session widget shows, without opening the app:
- The workshop and your next session title.
- The start time and a live countdown (“in 20m”).
- A check-in pill: “Tap to check in” or “✓ Checked in.”
- The venue location.
Tapping the widget takes you straight to check-in (or to the workshop if you're already in). The medium size adds a directions chip that opens Maps.
Add it to the Home Screen
- Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap the + (Edit / Add Widget) in the top corner.
- Search for Wayfield and choose it.
- Swipe to pick a size — small or medium — then tap Add Widget and place it.
Add it to the Lock Screen
- Touch and hold your Lock Screen, then tap Customize → Lock Screen.
- Tap the widget area below the clock.
- Find Wayfield and add it. It fits the circular, rectangular, and inline slots, so your next session and check-in status sit right under the clock.
Apple Watch face
Wayfield also ships a watch complication. On your watch face, touch and hold → Edit, select a complication slot, and choose Wayfield to keep your next session on your wrist. Pair it with the Apple Watch app.
For leaders
When you're leading, the widget flips to “[Workshop] · Leading”and shows your roster progress — “X of Y checked in”, color-coded as the room fills — tapping through to your schedule.
Good to know
- The widget refreshes itself about every 15 minutes — you don't need to open the app to keep it current.
- When nothing's scheduled, it shows “No upcoming sessions.”
- If you've turned on Workshop Mode, the widget shows only that workshop.
